This was one of the first tracks written for 'Disaster...' and its acoustic demo is the very first track I tried digitally recording by myself, which was, might I add, absolutely terrible, and I have no idea as to its whereabouts, for I've lost it. I wish I could have spent more time on this recording, but then again, nothing would ever be 'finished' if I tinker with things forever. I wanted 'Disaster...' to have somewhat of a dirty, rough around the edges sound, because I knew that there was simply no way around the fact, and I think it comes off as such. Writing, recording, producing, and for the most part, engineering and mixing a whole record by yourself for the first time is a lonely and terrifying task, and the more you get on with the depth of it, the less you really know where you are within it, like being lost in a whiteout or a jungle or something. No one is there to tell you, 'good job' or 'let's try this'; it's just you and your complete lack of knowledge, blind and dumb. But then, alas, you eventually throw caution to the wind, do what comes natural, and come to terms with never being perfect. Well, uh, sort of. - Sean, SOS.
lyrics
‘Paradisciousis’
Breathe as the animal
Through the teeth of the animal
Stark revelations shape in new equations
Feel as the animal
The taste of the animal
Devour our regrets in reciprocation
Cry as the animal
The tongues of the animal
Foul communiqué in proclamation
Sour fucking animal
The avenging potent animal
Foreshadowing flames in animation
When the
When the bugs crawl over you
When they eat you right back to earth
Did you feel the warmth of Spring
Come naked across your face?
Did you know you’re never gonna be replaced?
Did you kiss with all your love?
Did you say what you meant to say?
Cause it’s never going to feel this good
The poise of the animal
The symmetrical animal
Shadows lay their claim on vegetation
The towers of the animal
The beliefs of the animal
Rise up through the veins of imagination
The Gods of the animal
Trapped writhing animal
Violently shamed in divination
Love of the animal
The touch of the animal
Our contradictions pace our creations
When the
When the bugs crawl over you
When they eat you right back to earth
Did you feel the warmth of Spring
Come naked across your face?
Did you know you’re never gonna be replaced?
Did you kiss with all your love?
Did you say what you meant to say?
Cause it’s never going to feel this good
