I'm not entirely sure why I chose to cover this song. The original is perfect as is. I'm a huge PJ Harvey fan. The original is done in a crazy-high falsetto, given the voice she would use in church as a child, I believe the story goes behind the album it's off---'White Chalk'. I'm virtually a baritone, so what gives? I couldn't get it out of my mind since it was released in 2007. I loved the tortured content of its narrator. Tortured by love like a mental illness. I find myself imagining the landscape of its setting all the time. I wanted it to be longer, so that's what I did to it.
